Because you have a right to know... exactly what working in this role will feel like?

It's not an easy role for sure, and certainly not everyone will fit this role. The first few months are dreadful, because you'll be made to learn so much detail about a completely new product-line and unique ways of selling it. And you're probably expensive, most salespeople are, so we'll be in quite a lot of hurry.

There's a daily sales team meeting/training session in the morning, so you're expected to be in the office by 9.30 AM, and settle quickly as the meeting starts sharp at 9.40 AM. Expect a lot of pressure to make a huge no of calls, so you can get physical meetings, so you can practice and learn how to sell this product. Infact any salesperson doing less than 30 relevant physical meetings a month will make us very unhappy. And as painful as it is, every call and meeting needs to be logged in the system as a part of your daily report.

At this moment, lead generation might not be your biggest problem. But continuous calling to a large database of clients can make you feel like a telecaller quickly (we'll give you free tips on how to not sound like a telecaller though), but that's a necessary evil to set meetings and demonstrate the products - and when that causes you to crack amazing deals - it will all be worth it. Actually it's not uncommon to get deals between 5L to 50L, or even more. You'll connect with the best of brands, learn sales the way you've never learned and the incentive payout is pretty fantastic, regular and fully automated. Most established salespeople easily make more than the salary in incentives every month. You might see them and get jealous, but they have gone through the same excruciating process, maybe even harder.

To top it all, this comes with a 1 year bond. We put a lot of effort into getting you ready and most salespeople only start contributing after 2-4 months and become quite independent in around a year. It aches our heart a lot if someone leaves before that, and therefore.. :) thank you for understanding.

The target system is very fair. Higher salary, higher targets. Incase we find someone is just not able to do justice to the targets even after multiple months, we'll push them more and train them harder for a couple of months. And incase we still don't see the drive or persistence, we do suggest decreasing targets (and salaries proportionally) but this is pretty rare.

And if we really like you, we might give a good value of ESOPs (company shares) that is a fantastic long term wealth creation opportunity. But you will have to stick around for 4-5 years to get the full benefit. The value of our ESOP share has more than doubled over the past year, asking the HR more about this will be a smart thing to do.

No roses without thorns: there's a lot of rejection to face in this role from clients. You will encounter as many rude clients as nice ones. You might get sick of hearing 'no requirement' but you'll need to be creative in your approach. Plus you need to be a boss at handling feedback internally. Most people transform into completely different individuals and either turn into pretty amazing salespeople or give up and leave. So don't fake this one - if you're really hungry to learn you will enjoy it.

We are an ethical organization. So you are to be honest with the company and your clients. Lying, cheating, misreporting data, or being openly disrespectful is an easy way to make us angry and get fired very quickly.

This role is certainly not everyone's cup of tea. But if you're good at understanding clients, an impatient problem solver and very persistent - you'll be wildly successful after a few difficult months. People who give up easily, or are not accountable will struggle really hard till eternity. So if you can call and meet a lot of people and trust the process, you'll reach there faster.

We work 2 saturdays days a month and use them for learning and internal meeting opportunities. Most clients are corporates, so weekends are usually very quiet and relaxing. But if you're on leave during the week, sometimes clients might want to reach out.

We have doubled in the last year, and plan on doing so every year. If we identify you performing well, you'll quickly start getting a team under you and then leading zones and then functions. Promoting and growing people internally gives us immense satisfaction and even the CEO chair is up for grabs if someone can prove their worth.
